Got text message and didn't give my number out?

Is it possible for someone to be able to track a person's phone number down off of a dating website if you didn't list it? If so, how is that done? I ask because I was speaking with someone online and they were able to text my phone, I don't remember giving them my number. How is that possible?

If you have a landline then anything is possible.  Dating websites are not secure.  Owners and moderators sell your information to anyone.  I know as I use to develop and maintain some popular Christian networks.  But since they texted you, via your mobile number, so unless you gave it out then perhaps a friend shared it with this person and never told you.
