Mother Cat's babies died, Still Producing Milk?

My cat's babies had died. She had them about a two weeks ago. I don't really know what was wrong with the kittens, the internet said it was Fading Kitten syndrome. They all just died all of a sudden with no warning. Anyways she still has all her milk. Her boobs are REALLY swollen and I need to know what to do. Will it dry up on its on? Should I try to milk it out of her? Can she get sick if it doesn't? Should I be worried?

Please don't milk it out of her, cats 'nipples' after producing milk are very sore and tender and you won't get it all out anyway, your female cat must be spayed as she will most likely get pregnant next time she is in heat (esturus) also if you get her spayed, she will stop leaking milk, I've had 3 of my female kitty's spayed only one fell pregnant twice before we got her spayed and she didn't stop producing milk until we got her spayed.

It's also strange how they died you might want to go to vets about it instead of going by the internet's results. Getting cats spayed isn't cheap but it's worth having done for your sake and your cats

This was Nature's way of telling you that your cat needs to be spayed. It may just be milk, or it could be a painful condition (and infection) called mastitis. Don't milk it out of her, as that will encourage her to produce even more milk. Call the vet and ask their advice, and to make her spay appointment. She will come back into heat quickly and you already know that she's not mom material. "Fading kitten syndrome" can be from lack of quality milk or a genetic issue.

you can take your cat to the vet to get a shot to help her dry up. It is quite painful for her to have enlarged milk glands. After 2 weeks of nursing all kittens died?
I will wrap my moms in a tight netting to help with the reabsorption of the milk.
You might want to call your local shelter and see if they have any orphans that need a sorguattemom.

She'll still be producing milk because her body doesn't know that her kittens passed away, but try to keep her on comfy on a towel or something, because she'll still be lactating
