like the last big one was navy yard shooting back in 2013. but i havnt heard of a shooting like newtown, Aurora, VA tech of that magnitude in a while? is it that the news does not even cover them anymore? or is it just because the big ones are not happening right now?

Sure, this happens all over the globe. But you (as an American) only hear what your leaders want you to hear and believe. When they feel the need to manipulate public opinion in this venue, they will generate one and promote the heck out of it. It happens all the time. It's just a old dog and pony show.

They may not be happening in the us, but they are happening all over the world tragically! Be happy that there's no big ones and hope that gun laws will finally be placed soon...
