How can I use my computer to text to someone' cell phone?
We use the flip phones and texting blocked. Is there a way I can use my computer to text to a person who does have texting on their cell phone? Is this through a 'chat room' or what?

You can send an email message to their text app.
All you need to know is their phone number and their carrier.
If it's Verison, it's @vtext.com so for example if they have Verizon and their number is 111-222-3333 you'd email 1112223333@vtext.com
Keep the message really short or it might get cut off.
If they reply using their text app, it'll come to your email!
If they have some other carrier, you can google "how can I email a (carrier name) phone" to get the @carrier.com part.
