I’ve always had bad eyesight (mostly couldnt see things far away) but never wore glasses. I went to the eye doctor for the first time and he says my eyesight will get worse if I dont wear them. Is this true? How bad can it get? Glasses cost alot even with insurance so what happens if I just straightup just not wear them lol.

If the eye doctor said your eyes will get worse if you don't wear glasses, then he's an idiot. Glasses help you to see while you wear them. They have no connection to your eyes getting worse, or not. If you "straight up don't wear them", you won't be able to see clearly. Your eyes may get worse, but it won't be because you didn't wear the glasses.
I am very surprised that your eye doctor told you that your eyes would get worse if you didn't wear glasses. There have been no controlled studies that have shown this to be true in someone old enough to type their own questions. Until you get glasses, you will not know what you are missing out on. Unless you have really bad insurance, there are glasses that they come close to paying for completely. They may not have all of the features that would make wearing glasses more enjoyable but they will show you how your vision can be.
Not wearing glasses won't hurt your eyes. At least it won't do permanent damage. You'll get eyestrain, headaches, etc. And your eyes will get worse normally with age, which happens to all of us.
Depending on what's wrong with your eyes, you might get a pair of reading glasses at the Dollar Store that will work as well as prescription glasses. For reading anyway. There are also adjustable glasses like these:
