What does this recurring dream mean?

You are getting very very late for an interview/exam. And everytihng seems to be going the wrong way. You are rushing, and keep looking at the watch.

It looks like hell.

Update:

I would have loved if you told me what makes you say what you said... i mean some anecdote etc. Thanks

As a previous answerer mentioned, this is a very common anxiety dream. To elaborate on their answer, this dream (the rushing and anxiety at not getting to where you need to be at the correct time) shows that you could be really worried about something that you need to get done, but can't. e.g. you're getting married and are very nervous about it. or you just got promoted at work and you don't feel you can live up to your boss's expectations. or your friends are really judgemental and you worry that you will not be good enough or "cool" enough for them. so no matter waht you do, "everything seems to be going the wrong way", this is very anxiety-provoking, and I guess it's coming out in your dreams.

Are you religious or did you grow up in a religious family? Are you under any stress at work? Are you getting married soon? You are struggling with an issue of running out of time and not being prepared for the dead line. This deadline could be one that you have set for yourself. (Millionaire by age 30...) You must recognize the issue, realize that it is an issue, rationalize the solution if the is one and reorganize to achieve it.

It's a normal anxiety dream. A very common one also. Another common anxiety dream is that you are in college and you have totally forgotten about a class (you have not attended the class all semester even though you have enrolled) and you have to face the consequences.

Try exercising vigorously after work\school it will relieve stress.

Usually when you dream the same thing over and over again, it is supposed to mean that you need more rest or you are stressed out. I would search on the internet what dreams mean and read on from there.

You are trying to resolve some sort of problem. Whether or not it's an exam or it's an interview that doesnt matter. You're trying to resolve something.

  • It seems to me you feel you are under a watchfull eye of your peers. Every time you try to do something that you think will please one of them you end up dissapointing someone. Slow down and take each day as it comes and remember "you can please some of the people some of the time but you can't please all the people all the time." So Live for what ever makes "you" happy

Stop thinking about it and get over it or you're going to keep dreaming about it.
