If there was no point system in Yahoo! Answers, what would have been the biggest difference in that case?

People would only ask useful questions that they need real answers for and people would not answer a question unless they know the answer and not just use witty answers, or copy an answer someone else just wrote. Also, people would spend less time on this site!

I think its good that there is point systems cause if not, how could you gain more and more access to be able to give more answers, post more questions, and rate other's peoples' answers? The only thing i can think about like an alternative to the system points (which i accept as well leads to stupid answers and questions sometimes, just for gettin more points) is that people's answers could be rated (lets say by 1-5 stars) and so you can gain access to more participation dependin on the raiting that your answers receive.
