Where is the best Indian food between Palo Alto and San Mateo?

We really like Suraj in Redwood City. Have been there nearly a dozen times and always has excellent food in a nice low-key surrounding. Agree that Mountain View has more options, but if you're specifically looking for mid-peninsula, give Suraj a try! More details below.

If you want to go a little bit further south, Amber India at 2290 West El Camino Real is reputed to be the best in the Bay Area. However, I typically go to Clay Oven in San Mateo as it's closer to my home and quite good. Cheers! ben

I like Little India in Redwood City. They have a buffet for lunch AND dinner.
