Try the Bible. Get a modern translation. Try not to get bound up in religion or argument with others while you read it. It truly is a fascinating book. Talk about magic and wonder! It is the World's all time best seller you know. Anyway if you do decide to read any of the stuff by C.S. Lewis, having a grasp of scripture will certainly help.

For delusion, you would attempt Piers Anthony's Xanth sequence. they're set in a land shaped like Florida (author's homestead) full of weird and wonderful and colourful characters and are finished of puns. they're extraordinarily interesting. i really loved Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern sequence. it truly is such as Eragon, yet written years previous. a set of people are shipwrecked in the international Pern and they ought to commence over. Dragons are community, and quite some the individuals "galvanize" dragons even as they hatch (sounds wide-spread, i understand). As a pair they advance jointly and prepare to strive against thread, something that falls from the air periodically and destroys each and every thing it touches if it hits the floor. The sequence also is going into the firelizards that stay there to boot because the dolphins. the individuals actually have trades in the adventure that they don't stay in weyrs, and there are thoughts about a number of those persons. it truly is nice things. yet another exciting sequence is through Katherine Kurtz and it has to do with a mystical race referred to as the Deryni. they have been "underground" because they have been hunted, yet they ought to come decrease back and reclaim what's theirs. perhaps that provide you with with some diverse alternatives. have interesting. like you, i'd be searching for my Harry Potter e book in July.

Wow there are a plethora of books out there to choose from. I'm sure you're going to be overrun with answers to this so I'll try to make my 2 cents worth short. If you're a fan of H.P like so many of us are, and are into Fantasy of sorts then I suggest you read Eragon by Christopher Paolini, he also has a sequel to it called Eldest. Both books are phenomenally great reads. Enjoy!

Philip Pullman's trilogy "His Dark Materials" -- it has elements in common with HP -- young people learning about magic, wizrds, dark plots and complicated allegiences. It is well written, and has an interesting moral tale to tell.
