How do I remove the smell of cigarett smoke from the house? Without heavy perfumes.?

definately febreeze, the stuff is great, and really elimates almost any kind of smell or odors, they even make it now with different scents like flowers and etc.

Shampoo the carpets, spray an odor digester on them that you can get at a cleaning supply store. Then spray febreeze. Wipe the walls down and eveything else. If you can, leave the windows open and air it out for a few days. My first apartment must have had smokers in it and I did all these things and it helped. The smell will eventually fade..good luck.

Wash your walls with 1 part bleach, to 50 parts water, that will help with the stagnant odor that lingers, and shampoo your carpets regularly.

When you do smoke, do it next to an opened window, or outside.

If the smoke is always in the air and you prefer to do what you want in your house, get an air filter that eats smoke while it lingers in the air.. or get some Oust spray.. it kills bacteria in the air. It smells peppery though.. so go easy on that.

The best thing to do is quit smoking. Second best thing to do is to quit smoking in the house. Cigarette smoke is the most difficult odor to extinguish with closed surroundings. There are some pretty good air freshners, but nothing that dissolves it completely, not even Febreeze. Good luck!

For a quick, cheap fix: Dampen a towel and swing it around the room. It'll work if someone smoked in the room recently.

Try boiling and then simmer dry popouri leaves for about 30 minutes. It works, my mother does it all the time to make her house smell good even though she does not smoke. Or quit smoking.

Stop smoking. Then get new carpet, drapes and anything else that can't be washed in the washing machine. Paint your walls and ceiling with Kilz brand oil based paint and shoot anyone who attempts to smoke in your house again.

stop smoking it is bad for you. if can't stop try air fresheners. i recomend lycal. candles barley work but you could try
