why has laptop manufactures not put in a built in credit card swipe slot.so you dont have type in your details

that way you can order something over the net and just swipe and sign and then it will automaticaly save your receipt to your laptop

    It could easily be done. The mechanics of a swipe reader are relatively small and power consumption is low. A USB device like this might be even better because you are not using space in your laptop. Those are available at the link below. If you use the same card all the time it might be easier for someone to write an encrypted program that stores the cc number on your hard drive.

    I dont know why that is but if you can figure it out and market it you prolly could make some serious bucks.

    if your credit card was stolen, it would be very easy to charge stuff illegally to the credit card. its for extra safety.
