depending on how much, how often and what kind of exersize u r doing, ur diet will vary, but stick to these pionters: eat 5 small meals a day: breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch, after noon snack, dinner. lay off sugars after 7, ur body may not be able to burn it off before u go to bed. stop drinking soda. its full of empty calories, but if u want something sweet to drink stick with 100% juice with no added sugar like Dole or Juicey Juice (yes it sounds like a silly name but its some of the best juice and its pretty cheep too). just remember "dont drink ur calories". when u take sweetened drinks out of ur diet almost completely, u will be amazed at how much weight u will loose. i started lifting wieghts last year and changed my diet, not by going on a "deit" and counted calories, but changed my eating habit and stopped eating crappy food. when i started i weighed nearly 200 pounds and and now i weigh 160. eat a lot of protien, whey protein is possibly the best and u can find it in large amounts at costco and health food stores nation wide. Also eat white meat chicken, chicken breast is the best to eat, they are high in protein. protein is essential for life, when u exersize u burn calories (fat) and protein, protein is what u need for good muscle growth. when u cook, do NOT use hydrogenated oils such as crisco, use olive oil instead, which is full full of amino fatty acids that actually help u burn off "bad" fat, also avicados and salmon (NOT farm raised) r high in amino fatty acids. Eat DARK green veggies such as spinach and brocoli they r high in iron which will feed ur blood. oatmeal will help lower cholesterol, which is a build up of fat that block blood vessels. when exersizing drink water, not just before or after but durning. staying hydrated will keep ur body from developing muscle cramps. anyway, eat lots of freash veggies and fruit. try to cut back on processed food (white bread, snack cakes, chips, etc.) and fast food. but at least treat ur self once in a while, try making smoothies with sweet fruit, granola and frozen yogurt. All in all sample many foods, and see what u like.some of the best food out there is VERY good for u, but u'll never know unless u try it. good luck, if u just stick to a HEALTHY diet and work hard at the gym, u'll get the results u want, and dont forget to stretch BEFORE and AFTER u work out.

A little bit of everything is the best fruits, meats, vegtables and pasta.

Suppliments work great but are way to exspensive, buy a multiviamin anyway

Protein builds muscle so eat lots of eggs, rice, tuna fish & milk. Carbohydrates supply energy for exercise. Pizza is the best tasting carb but eating your wheaties is better for you.

If you aren't over weight you don't need a diet plan. You eat normally. 3 meals a day. You need the energy to work out and will burn the calories you take in. If you are over weight make a protein diet. Also remember you need starches to survive. You body needs the sugar that starches have for energy and to multiply your enzymes(a chemical your body makes to speed the reaction of digestion. Don't stress yourself on dieting. As long as you have an active lifstyle you have nothing to worry about.

Normally, protein is needed to develop muscle, along with rigorous exercise. However, the American diet tends to be overloaded with protein, causing a strain on the kidneys. If you're going to eat meat, avoid red meat. And increase your fresh fruits & veggies...especially brocolli. Dark, leafy greens are invaluable. And chug H2O!!

Protien for the muscles. If you are working out a lot you should get enough carbs to keep you going but don't overdo them. Vegetables are always good.
