8. she will make 7 cigarettes and then will be able to make another out of the ones she smoked

Actually, it wasn't 8. It was 7! There was enough to make 7, but no one smoked any of them, so there would be no butts to make a cigarette out of!f^_^

8 - 7 from the 49 butts, then 1 from the 7 made from the 49 butts. Almost didn't catch it!
