How vivid are your dreams?
When I fall asleep, I can nearly always (meaning 6 out of 7 days of the week) control my dreams in full. Every element, all the colours, all the events are fully controlled by me. Is this normal? Do I need sleep meds? Am I sleeping deeply enough?

Lucky you! I'm so jealous. Most people have to very hard to achieve that state called "lucid dreaming". It's the best, isn't it? It's a state I can usually partially attain, but I haven't the best grip on it.
This morning I had one of those nightmares you get before you wake up. An apparently immortal purple snake was pursuing me and my family. It was a little thing and though I tried stepping on it a couple times, it wouldn't die and it nipped me on the ankles. Painful. Only when I realized suddenly that I was dreaming was I able to create gain control of the situation.

If I was you, I would simply ENJOY, you are gifted, try to make the most out of it. In your dreams, ask important questions to the characters you encounter, those answers might be useful in real life. Try to solve problems, get knowledge, etc.
As I was younger, my dreams were EXTREMELY vivid and lucid. and bright in light. It was surreal, the scenarios were very complex and sophisticated, it was an experience of total power.

No. I think everyone can do that if they know they are dreaming. Sometimes I can do the same thing.
