Nick Fury

I'm currently running OS X Tiger on two 1.83 Ghz Core Duo Mac Minis with 2Gb Ram. I find every day I just don't have enough horsepower to comfortably power CS2 and/or CS3 at the capacity I need to run them. With the new year my IT budget refreshed and I'm looking to revamp our Mac setup.

Should I go all-out for a Mac Pro or will iMacs do the trick?

Keep in mind I run PCs and Macs about 50/50, so I don't need fanboys telling me to jump all the way on one bandwagon or the other.

My girlfriend and I have been dating for 2 years now and we're very close. We've looked at long term plans and decided we'd be really good for each other. We've never had a problem with fidelity in our relationship, as far as I know.

With that said: She was having trouble sending me a message with her cell phone, so she handed it to me for fixing. While I was checking her message box to see when it updated, I saw several messages from a good [male] friend of hers, referring to plans and calling her 'sugar lips'.

When I brought it up (casually) she became upset and called me a "jealous control freak." I have never ever been controlling in our relationship.

It's not that I don't trust her, I just want this guy she talks with to go away if she and I are going to be together. It makes me uncomfortable.

I'm painting a pretty rosy picture of myself, I know, but how should I ask her to get rid of this guy?

Please don't respond in a coarse or degrading way.

Is there an easier-to-use compression tool for Mac OS X than RAR? I don't want a command-line-based compression tool if I can help it (I have to leave my non-computer friendly girlfriend with the task of compressing files), so I'd prefer a graphic interface.

I recently purchased a knife from the Army/Navy surplus depot and I have been trying to research and find out what kind of knife it is, but to no successful end. It has a 7" black double-edged blade, 2" tang without a bayonet-style muzzle ring, and a compressed-leather handle. It bears the manufacture site (Taiwan) as well as the number 33080, the word "Fury" and a letter 'A' inside a circle on the blade-oriented side of the tang. I realize it may be of no astounding origin, but I would still like to know.

Has anyone here ever affixed a photograph to a guitar? I mean literally finished-in an actual photograph to the body? How would I go about doing that and what materials would I need? I'm not talking about a painted picture, I mean a photograph.

I'm 18 and I'm LDS. I want to serve a 2-year mission. I have 11 months left until I can leave. I want to try to date/marry my best friend, we'll call her 'Carol,' when I come home. Carol has had this platonicfriend, 'Frank', who leaves for his mission next week, (which means he'll be back before I am) for three years. Carol and I have been dating since September of last year. Carol and I have done things that the LDS church deems inappropriate, but we've tried to work it out.Carol has promised Frank she won't be married before he comes home from his mission, and I asked her why I don't get special privileges like that and she said it's because we've messed up. Carol saved me from committing su.icide (she doesn't know that) and is the best friend I've ever had. We did inappropriate things again today and I'm afraid she's going to abandon me. I am trying to salvage this relationship, but I can't figure out how to stop messing up like we do. I've tried everything! Am I going to lose her?

recently through a very strange series of events, a piece of furniture struck me squarely in the crotch while i had an e.rection. after a couple days of discomfort and a strange shape when deflated, i thought i'd take a closer look just to make sure. now there is a rigid ring all the way around it about halfway down the shaft and there is an oddly-shaped sort of mass on the one side (this is all underneath the skin) and the mass is painful to the touch. I can also sort of move the mass around underneath the skin, but not far. Am I okay? Do i need to see a professional, or is this one of those things that will fix itself? It can be very painful if i've got wood and i touch that one part. What the hell?

On an annual basis, what is the standard income for 1) Pediatric Psychiatrist and 2) Pediatric Psychologist?

My ladyfriend and I have been dating for six months, almost to the day. We are best friends, we talk about everything, we keep no secrets, we bring each other's spirits up, we are both encouragements to one another. Her parents, on the other hand, dislike me to a pretty severe degree. She's been in hurtful relationships in the past, all of which ended around the 6-month mark. In those she constantly came home late, neglected her schoolwork for her interests, and sometimes went a little too far physically with them (but never broke the big rule). She and I have never hurt eachother emotionally or physically, but I do get her home late from time to time. Her parents don't trust me and tell her constantly she's headed for heartache. I am a good man. Other than get her home on time, what else can I do to gain their trust and favor? Am I a danger to my best friend?

When I fall asleep, I can nearly always (meaning 6 out of 7 days of the week) control my dreams in full. Every element, all the colours, all the events are fully controlled by me. Is this normal? Do I need sleep meds? Am I sleeping deeply enough?

I have a ninety-something civic (just like everybody else, I know) and it's badly sunburned in several areas. I would like to repaint it an entirely different colour; would that cost more than simply repainting it the same factory colour? How much would that cost on average?
