I am convinced there are more SATANISTS than CHRISTIANS on Yahoo Answers...?

The way you people answer using scripture and sometimes offend someone really sounds like your trying to make me not be a christian but a satanist. You would answer more carefully if you were really Christians.

Disagree? I would love to read your response.

Update:

where is my question..? DUH WHERE THE QUESTION MARK IS-THAT WOULD BE THE END OF MY QUESTION!!!

Update 2:

ako2- are you saying Christians don't know what evil is? funniest thing ive heard all day.

I guesss all the Christians are logged off lol

Well i think first of all, your assuming and generalizing, which i've seen a lot of people. Never assume, you probably have just noticed al the Satanist related answers and blocked out the normal ones, happens a lot.

And what people, considering they are old enough, should not be so...i'm gonna say opinionated on their answers. If someone asks about god, don't shower them with all that crap about how god loves and cares and really is there, just answer who he was and what he did- when he died and all that. And dude, no one can change your faith, if they can your probably weak minded and completely vulnerable to what people think. And if you do think that, your probably questioning your faith and should really look into all that. Well yeah. you should really add more detail and maybe some information supporting your question instead of just saying that..it really doesn't help me answer it any better

I haven't encountered any Satanists here but I know there is a good diversity of religious beliefs encountered. If you claim to be a Christian you are strong in your beliefs through heart and mind nothing is going to sway you away from that. People question any religion for many reasons because it is hard to contemplate the reason for existence and suffering, not to mention other things. The biggest reason people are not as like minded as you is because there is no proof of God other than personal experience. It is difficult but you must be tolerant of this because it will get you no where to defend your personal belief of Christ to those who don't understand or believe it. Live and let live, if you are a true believer of anything you have a rock hard foundation and won't care about opposing scripture or other deterrents.

I think you're wrong. I think a lot of the people here who use scripture to argue against Christians don't even believe in Satan. How can somebody be a Satanist if they don't even think the monster exists?

Calling everybody who has read the bible and isn't Christian a Satanist is ignorance.

I don't think making generalized statements that have no purpose other than to insult really makes the situation any better.

I'm sorry if that's all you see here, because there are a lot of Christians that choose to respond with love and maturity.

You have to accept the fact that not everyone is the same. Blanket statements like this one is like saying all Germans in the 40's were Nazis, or all black people with baggy clothes are thugs trying to steal your money.

Please look around, there are Christians trying very hard to be loving, humble representatives of Jesus Christ.

I find that there are more fundamentalist, literalistic, evangelical type Christians on here than are represented in the common populace. And I live in a very conservative Christian area. So I'm not sure why it seems so disproportionate here, unless it is just that this sort of forum draws that type of person, because they see it as an avenue for proselytizing.

And you are right, they seem way ruder than most Christians I know in "real life" are. But I think that's just the internet for you.

I have met thousands upon thousands of Christians and not a one was ever offended by scriptures. Scriptures are Gods word and law. They are what Christians live by. I feel very very sorry for you if scriptures offend you. I'm inclined to agree the attitude in which the scriptures are presented might be offensive in some way. Prayer can work wonders for your feelings. God, Jesus, and I love you...God bless..The Rev...PS, no offence intended

It seems about the same, could be more Satanists, not sure. It is a Religious/Spirituality Section, so, I feel everyone should be welcome. True we all may have different questions and answers, but, that what show people are individuals. I actually enjoy reading the different views, true some are sarcastic and even vulgar (Questions and Answers). But, I only answer the ones "I" want to answer, that my choice. When people ask a Question, they should expect answers, good, bad, sarcastic and vulgar. ;-)

I've noticed certain people who like to ask questions that seem intended to get others upset. Like the guy that asked, "How can I succeed with a blood drive in a Jehovah's Witness neighborhood?" He wasn't serious-- he just wanted to get people going. He also asked about kosher pork and how to convert to mormonism to practice polygamy.

I told him he was being a jerk and then I saw him again under a different ID. (I'm sure it was him, from identical speech pattern, certain words, same avatar photo [not icon]-- just a different name. I guess he must get his jollies setting off false alarms.)

The best thing to do is to ignore clowns like that. I don't mind acting as a spoiler, to let everybody know his questions are not serious. I consider it a public service to everybody else on Answers. If you come across a question like that, use your answer to warn people that the question is not serious but intended to be a waste of time.

Also, alert yahoo to the abuse.

there are a lot of people here who would rather just shove the bible down your throat than combine scriptures with something that a non believer or "lost" soul can relate to...reciting passages to someone who doesnt find the bible to be a credible source does nothing for your case and only further alienates you from your audience...

people should try being a little more tolerant and empathetic if they are sincerely attempting to get through to the other person...

Most of the time people don't take the time to learn what makes up their religion. They just accept it because their parents did or it fills some short coming in their life. They pick the stuff they like and ignore the rest. So most of the time they don't know what they are talking about.
