look..I'm a bloke, women are generally smarter academically, ok, i can live with that, they are 'multi-tasking' fine. can they park a car? .... er no, can they put up a shelf without breaking a nail? ..... don't think so, could they handle a rat or a spider crawling over their torso? ..... hell no! so us men can take the women to work in the car which we can drive, then go home and fix stuff that she broke when she had pmt, go out hunting for food, then go pick her up from work again, at this point she can go into multi-task mode of cooking the food, then washing up and ironing plus changing the kids nappy, whilst the bloke cracks open a beer and watches t.v. i like the thought of being the more stupid of the 2 sexes

Well it depend . I'm smarter then him in some subject, but he it better then me in an others, life have ups and down, no body it smarter then nobody, we both have the same amount of brain, but not everybody used :~0

Yes, all women THINK they are smarter than men. Whether they really are or not depends on your definition of "smart".

some women think they are smarter then some men. and sometimes - its true. men and womaen have equal oppurtunities, some women use theirs better, and some men do. Unfortunately for you, there are a lot of women smarter then you, as all the corrections of your spelling mistake (their, instead of they're)point out.

I for one don't believe that either of the sexes is "smarter" than the other. We all have our strengths...that is physically, emotionally, and mentally.

Some of us have more common sense than others, and some of us have more "book smarts" if you will.

It's that very belief that keeps women and men from being true equals.

Yes they do think they are smarter for men and for very good reason, they are smarter than men.

Thye are also more physical capable than men.

Of course they do, because usually they are.

In modern western society encourages girls to read and learn while boys are encouraged to participate in competative sports.

By essentially encouraging an academic mindset in early childhood this has led to girls becoming more academic and thus in modern western society women are more learned, intellectual and articulate and thus can be assessed as "smarter than men"

However in Victorian times boys were usually encouraged to read and learn while girls were encouraged to practice homecraft and thus men were generally more intelligent.

Thus, to conclude, women usually do think themselves to be smater than men because, generally, this is the case in modern society.

They don't "think" it they "know" it. And we as men, would be foolish to disagree with them.

I'm all for women being smarter, my ego can handle it.
