    Make love not war was a phrase/slogan commonly associated with the American counter-culture of the 1960s. It was used primarily by those who were opposed to the Vietnam War

    Probably some hippie in San Francisco back in the 60's. Not a phrase based on reality..... because peace is unattainable making war inevitable.... and that's the reality.

    This was a classic saying in the 60's by the hippy generation. It's sometimes attributed to John lennon, but I'm unsure if he was the first to coin the phrase.
