Where would you live in the U.S.?
If you could move to any part(state) in the U.S., where would it be? I think I'm getting tired of how busy and overpriced Southern California is.

Arizona is another possibility. you can still get good "bang for your buck", the cost of living is lower, and if you still have relatives in CA you are still relatively close.

Boise, ID is called the new California. A lot of people moved out there from California. If you like a warm climate Tampa is nice and much cheaper than California. It doesn't have the traffic problems like Orlando or the Miami area and it's not a bunch of senior citizens like some areas of Florida.

I visited Austin, Texas recently and was impressed.
I've lived in NY barely 2 years and am sick of the high taxes, and, in NYC, the very high cost of living. Meat up here tastes awful (compared to the rural area I grew up in!). People here in NY are aloof, driving is hell, and ... I'm finding that it's a great place to visit but not to live :-)
Austin has nice weather, a low cost of living, good economy... and I was surprised at how many trees and greenery there was. The city has a college in it, so lots of diversity and liberals. Lots of health food stores and exercise trails. People there were friendly and approachable. Just a nice place.
