The Ultimate Middle East Solution?

I apologize in advance:

This is a statement. Please dicuss however you want:

The way I see it, the solution to the Middle East is a gradual move to alternative energies.

Right now, a racist and former executioner has been "elected" as president of Iran, and constantly hints at wiping out Israel.

I like to believe there is math behind everything, though. Why would he say these things? Sure, he believes them. The reason he's saying them is simply strategy, though. Every time he spouts off insanity, he essentially raises the price of oil.

I see the basic problem as our dependance on oil. Iran may have better things to do than threaten Israel, but because we fear it, creating such insecurity provides them with billions in revenue.

The only way to provide motivation in the Middle East for security is a gradual move to alternative energy.

Imagine if we even spent 10% of military budget on this...

JMHO.

I will not pick the best answer. I will put it to vote.

As long as people from the middle east continue to put their children in these draconian madrassas that indoctrinate youth to the ways of terror, there will never be a solution beyond every Christian dying or every Muslim dying. These barbaric schools bastardize the Quran into their sick, twisted interpretations of the holy word and pound it into the heads of children as young as three years old. Three, four and five year old are shown videotapes of "freedom fighters" dragging American bodies through the street de-sensitizing of any humanity that remains. They learn nothing but vile hatred and are taught that the surest way to Allah is to kill Americans and their allies.

Now, don't get me wrong. The vast majority of Muslims are peace loving and want only what most people want - a fair shot at a decent life. But, much like here in America, the radicalized factions of society grab the most attention and seem like they are the majority. I currently live in metro Detroit, and we have the largest Muslim population in the US. What goes on with radical Islam sickens most of them, and they are good, hard-working, decent people.

Until an answer is found to deal with the madrassas, however, nothing can be done. It will take generations and generations.

The only thing that moving towards other energies would do is stop screwing up the planet...However if we stop raping other countries of their resources it might make people stop hating the U.S. (some have good reasons).

Why do you think Iran wants a nuclear bomb? Because the only thing they can currently do to us is screw with our dependency on oil.

Peace in the middle east will not come about because we decide to cut our oil consumption. Peace in the middle east will come about when the people that live there stop living in hunger, poverty and fear. Peace in the middle-East will come about when theocracies cease to exist and religious freaks of any creed stop telling everyone how to live their lives. Peace in the middle east will come about when Israelis and Palestinians learn to live together which can only occur if Palestinians are given equal rights and an education. The reason that so many people are willing to die for God in these Arab countries is because they have nothing to live for.

If we help improve peoples lives through education and not war, we can help to end world hate and terrorism. But then again, maybe if we have no more need for oil we won't have a need to go "fight for freedom" in these middle-Eastern countries.

Sebas, raping other countries of their resources? I guess you get free gas, the rest of us don't. It went up another dollar per barrel today. I think it's a record. Yes, mass production of electric vehicles would help, I'd buy one. I think they would use a lot less oil and gas-henece, no dependency on oil. I know there are already hybrids and fully electric vehicles, but we should spend money on that, instead of going to mars right now, I think Mars will probably even be there a few years from now. I know it's reddish -orange and bright and shiny, but so is a brand new electric vehicle, in your driveway.

now we jump to religion, there is no middle east solution, this place will continue to fight each other until the end, this is after all where Armageddon takes place.
