Could I be pregnant even though I got my period?

My husband and I just started trying to conceive a couple of months ago. I have been very very moody lately, tired, kinda sore breasts, and I wake up in the middle of the night feeling very naseous. I thought that these might all be pregnancy signs but I got my period a few days ago - on the exact day that it should come and for a couple of days it was a pretty heavy flow. I still have all of the above mentioned signs, is it possible I could be pregnant? I am planning on taking a test later but I was wondering if this has this ever happened to anybody else and if it is even possible?

It could happen, just take a pregnancy test to see. That is the only way to know for sure. Or a blood test at the doctor.

My wife was able to convince herself she was pregnant back when we were trying, and she could get all the same symptoms, but after several negative pregnancy tests they would all go away. It is amazing what can happen when you think you are pregnant.

It is rare but it does happen. I am 26 weeks pregnant but didn't find out until I was 8 weeks along because I still had a very normal period that lasted 6 days. As far as symptoms go....I had tried to conceive for nearly 10 years and I wanted it so badly I tricked myself into having symptoms. ..mind over matter. Most women don't get true prego symptoms until several weeks later. It starts out very much like your period. I think my first real clue that something was up is when I ate an entire jar of green olives like it was chocolate cake to a fat kid just home from fat camp. There is always hope but it isn't the norm. Go ahead and take a test. Wouldn't hurt.

you're halfway there. you can still get your period when you are pregnant. but learn how to chart out your cycle on a calendar and be able to point out your most fertile times. it's not a perfect science but it should be close enough for you to gauge how risky the situation is. you are probably fine. if you are really worried then you can take the plan b within 3 days of the session. the good thing about the plan B is that if you are pregnant, then the pill doesn't stop the pregnancy. so it's not an abortion pill. it just makes everything slippery so that the sperm and egg never meet. imagine a high school dance where there are girls and guys. so the plan B just puts grease on the dance floor. since everyone is slipping around, no one is hooking up. so you're probably fine.next time check the condom mid session to make sure it's still sitting right. if your period is totally normal then i wouldn't take the plan B, but if it stops suddenly then take it. taking the plan B is not fun.

It's not normal to have heavy bleeding while pregnant, but it is normal to have some spotting when you miss your first period because the egg is implanting in the uterine wall. You usually don't feel morning sickness until you are 5-7 weeks pregnant. But the fatigue is a good early sign. I have heard of women having their periods early in pregnany so anything is possible. Another possibility is that you could have conceived and due to abnormalities, lost it early on. That happened to me before I could even miss my period. That won't affect future conceptions, so don't let that discourage you. It's only a possibility. Good lucK!

YES! I have a friend who was not feeling well and the doctor told her that she was pregnant. She was 5 months along. The weird part is, not only had she been having a regular period for those 5 mo, but she also had been taking the pill regularly for about 1 year prior. So she was taking the pill, having a period and still was pregnant!

Hi! I don't want to gross anyone out but I'm really curious to know. Me and my boyfriend has been trying to conceive for a month now. We had sex when I started my period and through all my ovulation dates. I've vomitted, nausea, dizziness and tenderness in my boobs which still sore after a couple weeks now. I have taken 2 regular test and 2 digital clearblue pregnant test and they all came out negative. I wanted to know if there can still be a possibility I can be pregnant even though I started my period again? I'm not going to stop trying but just curious to know. I was pregnant twice before but never during a period or after especially since before I was irregular and now I've been getting my period back on track for over 3 months now. Please someone help me out here.

When you can't get pregnant, and things look good from the outside, it can be extremely frustrating.

The first thing to consider is how long have you been trying. About 80% of couples will get pregnant after six months of trying, and about 90% will be pregnant after 12 months of trying to get pregnant. Anyway this is a great method to get pregnant fast:

Yes my dear you could be pregnant. This is something that the women in my family know just a little too well as it happens to a few of us. The biggest thing I could suggest is taking a test to find out for sure. It may not show on a pee test though so if you can go to the DR. and get a blood test done, these are very accurat.
