give her three months more until she's 18 Mths. or find a pillow big enough so that her head and chest rest on the pillow.

She's old enough now. I moved mine out of the crib into a youth bed at 14 months, and gave him a pillow. His brother was 1 1/2 when I moved him. But, if she's still in a crib, watch that she doesn't stand on the pillow, this might give her enough heigth to lean over the railing too far and fall out.

Why don't you just get her a baby pillow? If she sleeps fine and doesn't toss or turn that much then a real pillow should be fine as long as it's out of the way for suffocation. The baby one smy daughter loves she has about three on her bed. They are soft and manageable and she can move them if they go over her face or she rolls into them.

My fourth niece is now 7 months old. She has her own pillow. She has had her own pillow since she was 4 months but she could sit up and crawl. Try it out little by little, like when your baby goes for a nap in the day see how it works. Good luck.....

My son had his first pillow at 18 months, it was a small travel-sized pillow, in which he always tossed aside when he slept. Now he has a 'big boy' pillow from K-Mart, Joe Boxer for 4.99, he's 2 yrs old now, so he doesn't toss it like he use to.

If something covers her face (like a blanket or something) and she can remove it without any problem. Do a test run when she takes a nap or something and constantly watch her and make sure she is okay, if she goes thru her whole nap without any problenms, then i think it would be okay.

Maybe get one of the baby pillows too they are really small and light weight.

I gave mine a pillow when she was 1 yr old, but every babie is different..some may actually sufficate with a pillow and others like to sleep with one so they can feel or think that someone is next to them...if your babie moves alot dont give him/her one!!!!!

Source(s): ohh by the way..they are not pillows the are big stuffed animals..she has a bles clues and a sponge bob square pants!!!

about 18 month unless your doctor says different b/c the head is not big enough till then so the baby might die in the pillow

As soon as she's strong enough to lift her head up and turn over without help -- probably by 6 to 9 months. Certainly okay for a 15 month old, who is probably walking (running!) by now.

i let my litle boy sleep on a pillow which is damn near flat because he was so congested with a cold and it seemed to help him sleep better because his head was elevated. Plus whenever in my bed he climbs all over my pillows and flops down on them. And lays there like he so comfortable.
