Why have we given the oil industry over a Billion dollars in tax subsidies in the last few years?

Because Bush stole Florida's electoral votes in 2000. The country has gone to hell in a handbasket ever since just like I said it would at the time.

How about this - how is it that the United States just took over the world's second largest oil reserves and the price has gone up ever since?
