2005 Mercedes e320 Power Trunk not working anymore?

My power trunk release and power trunk close has stopped working on my 2005 E320. I can remotely unlock the trunk and it will open about 4 inches, but no longer goes all the way up. When I manually force the trunk to the full open position, the trunk light remains off and the emergency release is illuminated green. (It thinks the trunk is still closed.) The power close button will not illuminate or work, unless the trunk is closed to within 4 inches of shutting. Then it works, but only to lock the trunk and I have to pull my hand out very quickly so it doesn't get slammed in. It seems as though a position sensor or such is screwed up. ANY "do it yourself" help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Looking for opinions from people, like myself, in their mid/late 40's, whom have tried one or both brands. I am presently wearing Acuvue Oasys, with medium myopia around -4.5 in each eye. My close-up vision is fading fast.... Love to hear your "real" experiences.

I can't believe that they can get away with the advertising they do. The taxi driver in the commercial is holding a sandwich so big, he can hardly get his mouth around it, yet the burger in real life is so narrow, I could slide it under my office door. Who else has fallen for this? Did you complain? What ever happened to truth in advertising? Aren’t there laws against this??

I vacation every year in the Carribbean. So far, I have visited The Grand Caymans, Aruba, Cancun, Cozumel, Roatan, Belize, Isle Mujares, and Bermuda as well as Cabo San Lucus and Acapulco. I like to snorkle, explore, gamble, etc. I'm also a big all inclusive person.

I was thinking maybe Mazatlan, Ixtapa, Zihuatanejo.. but it all seems the same as Acapulco.. Anyone got any suggestions? St. Maarten? Atlantis?

It's not Psoriasis, just the kind of skin that a fair skinned redhead might have. Dry and well, scaly in appearance in some areas. I am convinced that her daily bathes are not helping this, even though she uses sea salt and oil scrubs. Would you agree? If so, do I suggest that she use the shower instead of the bath?
