Don't want illegal immigrants here? this is what you do:

1. Don't hire them to mow your lawn or fix your roof and pay full price to a licensed american.

2. Don't buy fruits and vegetables since they are all hand picked by illegal aliens. Be prepared to pay higher wages to american citizens and pay more for fresh produce.

3. Don't go to ethnic restaurants since the mayority of the waiting staff are illegal aliens (that's a fact).

The bottom line is that there are just too many of them here. Immigration laws are more complicated than you can ever imagine. We as american citizens have no idea how many of them are really here. Giving them a chance to be legal is a plus for us since more control can be kept of who is who and where they are. More taxes will be collected, crime will go down and the jobs that we won't do we won't have to do. After legal status is granted it is time to close the border. Just think about this there are 12 million or more illegal immigrants living in the US. They're not going away, it's impossible to get them out. If they are accounted for then we can control the situation. Instead of worrying of the 12 million here and the other 3 million crossing the borders we would only have to worry about the ones crossing the borders.

Very well said. I couldn't have said it any better. They're in our country illegally, so they have no right to demand legal citizenship. This protest is nothing more than a bunch of whiners thinking they deserve everything after breaking the law to get into our country.

Edit: I hope the INS and/or ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) takes note at these protests. That would clear up about 1/2 of the illegals in this country.

What burns my a$$ is the fact that these people come to the U.S. with such an entitled attitude.My ancestors came over from Ireland and Germany legally,dirt poor and WORKED for what they had!No one gave them a free ride!And I've worked(and still am working) to be where I am and these people just want everything handed to them!

These "protests" make me want to call the INS and say "There they are! Go arrest them!" I heard a guy quoted on the news the other day say the Mexicans here undocumented were tired of being treated as second class citizens. NEWSFLASH!!! YOU AREN'T A CITIZEN!!! that's what I was screaming at the tv when my wife took control of the remote and changed the channel to calm me down. Immigration is a GOOD thing. ILLEGAL immigration is just that. ILLEGAL!!! If I break a law, I go to prison. What makes these guys any different? I'm already paying to feed their children, and educate their children, and for their hospitalization, and who knows what else. I would prefer to simply pay for a one way bus ticket to the border.

I say round them up like cattle and haul them back across the border. That's what happens to the hatians. as soon as their feet touch american soil they are deported and while we are at it.. miami could use some cleaning out as well. any person that can float on an inner tube from cuba is down there. Send the national guard into miami and recover it for the great state of Florida..ok well I guess a little too far with that one (great state) considering the 2000 election but..May 1st is as good a time as any to pick up the protesters and recover miami..thats my story and I'm sticking to it!

I agree, it's ludacris. While they're out there they should start rounding them up for deportation. They should not be here illegaly, it's not right. They need to go back and do it the legal right way like everyone else. We need to hold our own protests also as they are gaining political influence by this and there is no opposition showing its face. We've got to get together and protest what's right before it's too late!

The unemployment line will be much shorter when they get fired. Then let's see what they have to say.

You are correct. The way they are going about this whole thing is getting people angry and wanting to take action against them. That's why I'm glad that they are so ignorant.

many of these protesters aren't illegal immgrants as you put it. these people are fighting for what they belive is right this is how america got to be america because the people spoke out and didn't like tha abuse to sit meekly and endured it but these people are doing what other's have done thru out history. for example gandi, martin luther king, malcom x, cesar chaves and countless others.
