  • Where did the question and the answer(s) go...?

Last night I answered a question for an 18 year old autistic male. I felt his need of answers and thought I had served him well. I looked for that particular question in my list of answers under my activity and it's not there. I wanted to see what other people's responses were. Where did the Q & A go?? Can I possibly find it?

  • I would like to determine what kind of tree or bush this is.?

Sorry no picture. It seems to grow well on roadsides here in TN. It likes growing right out on the rocks here in the east TN mountains. It reminds me of a sunflower because of the size and shape of the leaves. I've seen them from 6 inches to 40 feet tall. They have huge velvety leaves. It seems that there is only one leaf per "branch." The branches grow up at a 45 degree angle from the main trunk. I've seen quite a few of them over time and it's making me crazy not knowing what they are. One lady told me it was a velvet ear, but I don't think that is it. Anyone, someone? If you do know could you give me a link to a site where i can find out about it.

  • Report spotting a falling meteorite??

Last week I saw a brilliant ball of fire trailing a bluish greenish fire across the early night sky. It's difficult to say how far away it was, but it looked very close. I watched for six or seven seconds and it either disintegrated or went behind a mountain where i couldn't see it. It was moving more parallel to the earth's surface than I would have thought one would. I'm guessing it was bigger than a refrigerator but smaller than a car. I live in the mountains of east TN. Is this something that I could or should report and if so to whom?

  • What does God want me to do............??

I've gotten to the point in my life where i feel it best to "turn my back on the world." I want to fulfill God's promise for my life. I saw a rainbow along my way this morning. I feel as though I've been blessed with many talents. I don't know which talent is the important one. Or i haven't yet found a Godly profession wherein all of these things are encompassed. I feel well positioned to make this transition in my life. I pray daily about it but still don't know for certain which way to go. I also feel some uncertainty (lack of faith, be anxious for nothing, working on it...) about the future. How can one survive in this world as we know it today without working for, unfortunately, the almighty dollar. Doesn't that expression just kill you? How i spend eternity, I realize, is far more important than anything on or of this earth. Are there any there among you who gave up all their worldlies to serve God? Tell me how things went for you and how you were led to where u r now.

  • I need advice on growing rosemary. Help, please?

I started from seed. I germinated ten plants in my greenhouse. I've moved them from their seed tray to six packs until they were large enough to go into a pot and out of the greenhouse. I've got 3 pots, two on the covered front porch and one in the window sill both of which get the morning sun. I used miracle grow soil and they still don't seem to be getting any larger. My Chervil, Parsley, marjoramand dill are all doing well. the rosemary, cilantro & chives seem to be lagging. Point me in the right direction?

  • I have rust on my camshafts........What shall i do??

91 Mazda 16 valve DOHC 4 Cyl. I recently found a car I bought new years ago. It was in a junkyard and I think the timing belt broke on them. It had broken once on me and no internal harm was done. Mazda proclaimed precision engineering. They put a new belt and left the cover off. I bought it, brought it home and pulled the valve cover. I turned the engine over once, not frozen, but found some fairly substantial rust on the (lobe parts) cams. From papers the previous owner left, it must've been parked since roughly July of '04. Suggestions? Other than get a new one.....

  • What companies within 100 miles of Crossville TN can apply ceramic powder coatings to engine parts?

Need to ceramicize some engine components. I'm doing a rebuild with a twist and would like to apply a heat resistant ceramic powder coating to the cylinder walls, combustion chambers, head ports, cylnder tops and will need some type of completely rust proof exhaust system (i.e. ceramic. stainless) as well as stainless valves.
