What date did yahoo answers start?
Some one said in december but looking at previous question on here it looks like last July.
The beta version has only been going for a couple of months.

As far as I heard it is December. If I get solid proof I will edit this answer.
OK here is what I found:
"The public beta release of Yahoo Answers happened on 8th December, 2005. But the site had been in testing for the since August. That is why there are answers as old as [9] months ago." The original quote is 4 months old and the original number in the brackets was a 5.

Click on the "What's going on in Answers?" link in the upper right corner of this page and then on Kudos. That's where you will find plenty of articles from December 8, 2005, announcing Yahoo! Answers being launched.

If you click on the discover button at the top of the page and then on Date to sort the questions in chronological order, you can see all the test questions asked during the internal alpha-testing phase.

I dont know when it start but Today 4/29/06 is the first time I've seen it.
