I asked this same question of a friend once many years ago. She told me to think about my life in reverse. Start with the end - the funeral. How many people would attend? And what would people say in the eulogies? What would I want people to say? How would I want to be remembered?

I thought it was a very good answer and a sharp way of focusing one's life goals.

I think we cant leave anything behind but memories and whether you are remembered with love or not is a true test. But while you are alive do everything with a good motivation and do not live with regret. There is freedom in forgiveness. And do good with an open hand.

One day in the morning when you will wake up and go to work not for yourself but for others...

One day when you go to sleep not because you are tired but because you want to work for others in the morning...

One day when money, happiness, sadness, attachment, praises, discouragement, gold etc etc will have no meaning.
