Are there any countries around the equator that are not third-world countries?

Update:

I don't know the answer to this and some of the answers listed conflict each other.

I'm going to put the answers out for a vote. May the best answer win! ( I really want to know also! )

    Brazil, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia are on the equator but cannot certainly be labeled as third-world countries. On the opposite, they are fast-growing emerging markets.
