how many people take the answers they receive on here seriously?

Most questions you know are fake if they sound so ridiculous - like "I have labor pains, what should I do?" No woman is gonna be sitting at her PC on Yahoo! Answers while in labor. So, a stupid question deserves an equally stupid answer. The stupider, the better.

Another thing, while there may be people with knowledge in various things, taking advice from someone that you have no clue who they are is really really dumb. So I hope people don't take answers seriously.

The one exception I have to that is someone that says they want to kill themselves. That I answer very seriously, because it could be real.

Well while you may not take my answer SERIOUSLY I have a reply.

I asked a question about my car, I got three completely different answers. When I took the car to the shop I went with the answer (given me on YAHOO answers) that I thought would cost me the least.

I told the repairman that is what I wanted. It worked like a charm. Car has never run better. Had I walked in with a sad look and "oh my car sucks" attitude would I now be paying a thousand dollar repair bill. Probably....

So that alone makes me take it all a little seriously.

Some people have posted some good stuff. Others are full of BS. You have to be smart enough to know the difference.
