Is America on the way to becoming a FASCIST country?

We are tip toe-ing in that direction.

I think that the neo-cons, the theocrats, and the uber right wingers have just about spent their last amount of energy, and I can tell you that many on the left of the spectrum are very motivated, and even middle America is starting to wake up to the crap going on.

What will save the US from fascism is the fact that we have such a diverse background of people.

Most fascist nations are usually homogenous in their culture. It's easy for them to pick outsiders apart.

Secondly, there are many who are not buying into the idealized history that many right wingers claim the US has. Most Americans distrust the government. As such, I'm doubtful the US will follow some dictator.

Now, that being said, I do feel the US is heading toward becoming a police state. One more terrorist attack will do it.

What you can do about stopping it? You can get involved locally in politics and get involved on a national scale with a political party. Get involved with activist groups that are supporters of democracy, civil rights, freedom, and supporting the Constitution.

It's not over yet.

i dont know who'll save us, and i think we technically didnt vote for GW the first time. but as for the original question, i dont think its on the way to being a fascist country, i think its already there.

no one can save us until the idiot is out of office, only then do we stand a chance. and ps, we did not even technically vote him in the first time, he and his croonies and relatives stole that election!!
