  • Does US Government have a Legal Case against Julian Assange?

In my opinion Julian Assange is being demonized because he brought to light the dirty laundry of US and other governments. This is what journalist do, dont they?. So if he is not the actual person who stole the documents in the first place how can they prosecute him aside from the sexual assault charge (which is actually disputable!)? What happened to the Freedom of Information act?

  • SpeedStep not working?

I have a Compaq Presario 2500 Notebook computer. It has a Pentium 4 CPU. For some reason I cant have the machine slow down to save power and reduce Fan speed. It always runs at 2GHz. Power options dont give any option to enable / disable SpeedStep. Is there any driver / SW I need. I thought Windows XP already had this feature built in? Any help is appreciated.

  • Is this how GW will be remembered 10 years from now?

    Bush, G.W. 43d American President

In private life an unsuccessful oil executive, George W. Bush was installed as president of the United States by the Supreme Court in the year 2000. At first an ineffectual president both at home and abroad, he was invested following the terrorist acts of September 11, 2001 with enormous political authority. Seizing opportunity in the name of fighting terrorism, Bush advanced an aggressive agenda to secure the world's natural resources for private interests, especially the petroleum industry. After initiating a disastrous program of economic, military and diplomatic actions coupled with severe domestic security measures, Bush's administration collapsed under a wave of scandals. The impact of his presidency on America's international standing is still felt today. According to an obscure satirist of the period, "George W. Bush was the a**hole that ate the world."

  • Does anybody understand How Big Bang happened?

Big Bang is the most absurd theory I have ever heard. The whole universe starting from a singularity smaller than anything we can imagine like an atomic particle !!!! Where did this point exist? In another Univers? Who would think of this bizarre thing? If the universe is expanding that does not mean it started from a point. When you see a plane in the sky do you know where it's coming from ? There is just simply NOT enough information on it's origin. Some time in the future the fallacy of the Big Bang will be proven and I hope I am around to laugh !

  • Is America on the way to becoming a FASCIST country?

Recent revelations about the government tapping into the private lives of its citizens via phone records or direct listening is very disturbing. Not to mention the illegal torture of prisoners who have no means to any defense. These things happened during WWII by Nazi's. Yet this country is supposed to be the Leader of Democracy in the world. Anyone who voted for GW Twice (!) should consider themselves duped into believing their government is going to protect them from Terrorists. Who will be protecting us from the the Fascist Terrorist Republican Government who cares about nothing except filling the pockets of their corporate friends?

  • Is using a sponge in kitchen vs. a wash cloth actually worse for hygiene?

I heard some people say sponges harbor germs but I am very skeptical about this. Since detergent in the sponge is antibacterial, how can bacteria grow in sponges? Same problem should be valid for wash clothes right?

  • Is Muslim religion the biggest threat to Western Culture?

No other religion in the worlds denigrates women like the Muslim religion. Deep down may be it was meant to be as a good religion but it has been abused over the years by men who wanted to control masses for their own benefit. I was brought up as muslim but now I hate it more than any other religion in the world.
