How come stupid people answer health questions? 95% 'best answers" chosen on cholesterol queries are bogus.
What you've been told about cholesterol the last 35 years is largely false. Here is the truth: 1. Too low a cholesterol can result in a stroke. 2. 97% of the body's cholesterol is produced by your own liver in response to genetics and lifestyle: eggs are good for you; controlling cholesterol by diet is like controlling cancer by playing bingo 3. Cholesterol is a normal waxy body substance and the biggest user is the human brain: not enough cholesterol for the brain and you die or are crippled by a stroke 4. Some primitive rural peoples have cholesterol levels above 350 and are perfectly healthy 5. There are two types of cholesterol: good or high-density (HDL) cholesterol is a special fat that we need in our bloodstreams. HDL helps carry bad low-density (LDL) cholesterol from the body. 6. If your HDL/LDL ratio is very high, it doesn't matter what your overall cholesterol readings are, you are still far healthier than someone with a 120 reading and 102 LDL: strokebait!!!!

I think it's great that you are so informed. Why don't you make a search that shows up on your "my yahoo" page whenever anyone asks about cholesterol so you can educate people? When you do a search, at the bottom there's a button that says "add to my yahoo".
There are a lot of stupid people in the world and they just want points for answering. That's why people who know what they are talking about, like you, get frustrated and leave Answers.
BTW, I'm morbidly obese and my cholesterol level is something like 130 which no one believes. I know it has nothing to do with diet!

Yes. It's called Divine Laziness, and Ignorant Design. Ignorant Design comes into it when people answer a completely different question to what was asked, or choose to rant instead of answering. A lovely example I once had was a cut'n'paste that filled the page, but did not answer the question at all. I've also had a few people who completely ignore the question itself, and just say stuff like 'I agree'. Okay, you agree. Fair enough, now would you like to tell me your answer at any time? Divine Laziness is the other great religious reason for not reading. It takes the form of a question format (I'll steal your example): Q: Why don't Xs ever seem to tolerate Ys? QD: I don't personally think there's many Xs who dislike Ys, it's just a small minority who tend to be extremely rude and disgusting in their attitudes. A case of the noisiest few, so to speak. What's your opinion on this? A: We're not ALL like that!!! Stop being so judgemental!! ummmm.....READ IT NEXT TIME!!!! lol. ((((hugs))))
