What Book is this?
I am trying to find the title of a book I read a long time ago. It was about a woman named Kathleen, I think, that goes to live with her guardian that is a Chaplan at a military base. It's actually 2 books in 1. They end up falling in love at the end. She runs away with a friend who is in the military and he comes after her. She's Irish. In the second part after they marry she is pregnant and gets kidnapped because they start a school for black children. It is set in like 1895 or something.
On the cover it has a drawn picture of them and the guy has a beard. They go on a sleigh ride. She reads alot of his books. He teaches her and she picks up quick.
