Why do girls want diamonds?

I think that girls would love to have diamonds to show off to their friends. It seems that most girls in this world really want to make their friends jealous.

I personally do not want diamonds. I just want a man who will treat me right. When all they have is diamonds and either no man or a man who cheats on them, I'll be the one they are jealous of anyway.

BC diamonds are a girls best friend. OK well they last forever they look pretty they are shinny and colorful. Honestly i have never thought of that. This is a great question personally i like diamonds but now I'm wondering why i do? maybe its just something about the fact that girls get diamonds most of the time from their boyfriends maybe it just reminds of marriage & love

sometimes girls buy diamonds for themselves... why? they're pretty. People have been wearing jewelry since the beginning of time. If diamonds come from someone else, not only are they pretty, but they're expensive and from another, which shows how much theyre valued by another person. Women like to be valued...and they like to feel beautiful and loved.

Then they can show off to their friends and it makes them feel good about themselves...sometimes the shallow one's just like to show they have money or have some one who cares for them with money... something pretty to show off and be coveted. Some because it shows how much someone loves them, and it's pretty.... but probably in one way or another it's often a combination of the sentiments (we're all human).

For me, the gemstone of choice wouls be Sapphire or Garnet.

I think Diamonds are very cold-looking stones.

I think some girls see a Diamond as a status symbol. They think the bigger & more expensive the diamond, the more they are loved. Total rubbish of course.

God has made girls/women so delicate & soft that anything what they use to look good starts becomming their weekness.

They look good in diamonds & also diamonds are a status symbol too.So they love diamonds cos they look good in it & they can leave an impression on other females too .

I don't like Jewelry. The only jewelry I wear is my crucifix necklace and I wouldn't want that to be diamonds. I guess I am a strange girl, but I would rather have anything than jewelry. My Grandmother wants to give all her Grand daughters nice rings when she dies and I asked her what else she had because I don't want a ring. when I was married all I had was a gold band and that was all I wanted.

It is so ICY, So FLASHY, so PRETTY in the light. And you know girls like pretty things. I still like pretty things as a woman. We want to show off to our friends look what he gave me. The only reason women like marriage is to have that BIG ROCK on their finger........shows status.

Thats simple, they are pretty, they sparkle, you can look at it and never get tired of it, and of course they are expensive.
