    its a fruit...but contains many of vitamins and minerals found in veggies... the difference between fruits and vegetables is only where the seeds are.. fruits have seeds on the inside..veggies dont. as far as dieting goes...count tomatoes as a veggie because they don't have all the natural sugars that most fruits do.

    I hear Bob the Tomato on Veggie Tales is a fruit, but it's a christian show so they keep it in the crisper, if you know what I mean.

    I think it is a fruit. But I guess it could be a veggie. Maybe you should ask a farmer or go to a local produce market and ask.

    Fruit. If it has seeds on the inside it's fruit. Avocado's a fruit too.

    Anything with seeds is a fruit.

    It is a fruit of the berry type. Believe it or not, tomatoes are big berries.
