Escaping from it all - where to?

Things are getting on top of me big time at the mo, I'm getting hassel from every direction - financially, medically, socially, occupationally etc. etc. and will end up doing something really stupid if I stick around.

Me n the missus just need to bugger off somewhere before it effects us, I was wondering if anyone can suggest anywhere warm, cheap and peaceful where we could go to escape from it all for a while?

Update:

Sorry, me being stupid. I live near Nottingham England. Europe would be better for me, but I'm open to any suggstions.

And I see your point about "running away", but I need to clear my head first before I face things head on.

    Mate,

If you're escaping for "a while", it will be worst when you'll get back home... But if you need a break, get to Costa Brava in Spain, especially all the area North to Barcelona, I'd say that would be a good place for you. Check out sites that are offering work abroad as this is important for you to get money to sort yourselves out. email me if you need assistance.

Get a cheap flight to Turkey. As its the start of the season, there should be some bargains around. Turkey is cheap and cheerful and I would consider it an escape! Olu Deniz is an amazing beach, but the nearest tourist place (Hisanarou) is a British ghetto, full of union jack shorts and beer guts - may be your kind of place!? Anyhow you can stay near the beach as well - need to do a bit of research.

Another "escape" place is the island of Djerba in Tunisia -

How about renting an apartment in Tuscany for a week. Would need to hire a car for a week as well though to get the most out of it.

    Well Appetite for Destruction,

Many beaches are within reach on most states. I can't really give a good local because I haven't go the faintest clue where you are in this world.

Most towns have a quiet setting and you both can lodge for a reasonalbe price, if you search well.

Good luck and I hope the burdens and pains of this world don't stay heavy for too long.
