What was the worse aviation disaster in all history?
Specifically, this would refer to disasters involving airplanes - not missiles, rockets, satellites, or balloons.

Whether it be the Hindenburg, 9-11 or any other aviation disaster, when there is a connection, by the death of a family member or friend, the memory is heightened.
It would be impossible to equate my feelings with those who were connected to the 9-11 attacks, with those who suffered directly. If we include the Nagasaki, Hiroshima and Jimmy Doolittle raids during World War II, the question is broadened.
But, to answer the question... For me, the 9-11 attacks will always be remembered as the worst aviation disaster.
