Does a Soul or ghost have the ability to think for itself? If yes, then why does the human body have a brain?

It's my personal belief that the soul is a seven dimensional being (at least), so I really don't have the ability to imagine the way our souls think, what with be a three dimensional being, or four dimensional counting time. But I like the idea of trying to understand the way our souls think.

It seems to me, looking at my own paranormal experiences and those of other people I've known and read about, that spirits (most of them at least) don't tend to suffer, don't have anxiety, don't tend to get jealous, in fact most of them are very happy and love us.

So it's my guess that we have brains because it allows us to experience life as human animals.

Yes, a soul or a ghost ahs the ability to think because you(your human bodie) and your sprit need to act as one so your body has a brain and your soul or spirt has a "brain "so that you can think alike. I hope that helps

If God had not of given us a brain then we would not be sitting in front of a computer asking & answering questions, we would still be outside plowing up the fields with a mule and hoping that the crops will grow & produce so that we can have food all year thru .

The soul is simply the breath in the body. When a person dies, their breath leaves, and they don't know anything. A person is a body plus life, which is breath. There is no such thing as a ghost.

The reason we have a brain, despite having a soul or not having one is simply to keep our bodies functional and keep them working.

we are both flesh and spirit. the mind is for controlling the body, while the soul is our spiritual side. God created the soul with free will or the abililty to make choices.

No, the soul or spirit, once it leaves our body, does not think or itself. It is either controlled by God or by Satan, depending on our choices. While we are alive, we train our spirit by practicing the Word of God or disobeying God.
