I am 35, happily married, and have one daughter. I have had to come a long ways to get to where I am now. The past 2 years have been a struggle not only for me but for my family as well. I love to go camping, fishing & spending time with my family. I am not going to say my struggles are over because they are not. Most days I have to convince myself to get up & leave the house. The weather here is so darn hot and it makes it harder for me to breathe.

  • What is the recipe that old timers would use to help themselves go in labor?

My friend is a week overdue and I am trying to find that recipe. I know it works because a sister to one of my old friends used and she went in labor the next morning. I am not trying to do anything to harm her she is begging me for help and I am just trying to help her out. I know someone out there has the recipe just finding him/her. Thank you for your help.

  • Can anyone explain this to me??

After I go to sleep at night, it is as my spirit leaves my body to the corner of my room and I watch everything that goes on. The last really really scary one was when 3 demons held me down while another raped me. I wasn't able to speak or even move but I wanted to. I will be greatful to anyone who can explain this type of dream.

  • What can I do about this?......?

I have an online acquaintance who is ill. She talks about God healing people and I do believe that HE does heal. But she seems to refuse having surgery that the doctors says she needs. I am trying to help her by giving support but she doesn't seem to want the help, you keeps on & on talking without answering my question. And no I am not here, to talk about her or to put her down I really want to help her out but I need help from someone who might have been in this situation before.

  • Can I get some help here?

I am a 35 yr old disabled woman. I have a Pulmonary Sarcoidosis as well as Lupus & I am supposed to avoid as much stress as possible due to having high blood pressure in my lungs (how do you avoid stress?). What I need help with is this. My mother goes for a PET Scan friday, to find out what the mass is on her lung. The paperwork stated not to rule out malignancy so she is constantly talking about having cancer and dying. She was only supposed to stay with me a week because of my illness and she won't go home right now. She has me so stressed at this point that I don't know what to do. Friday night, she asked me to pray to God to let her die that night so she wouldn't have to suffer any longer. She is constantly talking about her ex husband who has been so abusive to her mentally & physically. We just had a small spat earlier because my husband mentioned that me & him would get out of town and she got ticked about it because she said that we didn't have the money to go anywhere

  • What would you do if your mother asked you this?

Over the past 3 to 4 weeks we have received information that my mother may have lung cancer. I took her to see her lung doctor on June 27th, he has her scheduled for a P.E.T. Scan to find out for certain if it is cancer and if it is how bad it is. Well, Friday night my mom went out to a bar to Karoke. While there she had 3 beers and half of a margarita. I found out how much she had to drink after coming to mine & my husbands room to ask me to lie down with her for a few minutes so she can talk to me. She cried and told me that she was afraid that if she had to have surgery she would not wake up, my sisters & I are aware of this but no one wants to know their mother or father might have cancer & die. This is my question:

What would you do if your mother asked you to do this:

My mother asked me to pray to God to take her now, pray to let her go to sleep and not wake up because she is tired. Would you honor your mother's wishes and pray to God to end her life?

  • What do you do when you know your mom has a mental problem & that she needs help?

I have depression & a severe anxiety disorder. Back in October my mother went hysterical on me because I would not let her control my life. I was 34 at the time. I ended up going to a Behavorial Health voluntarily because I had to get away from her. I have a live threatening illness and I couldn't take what she was doing to me. She was absolutely trying to destroy my marriage. I talked to my counselor and she told me that I could not have my mother committed that the only ones that could would be her parents, siblings or eldest child. I don't think this is fair to my oldest sister but I can't help her. Yesterday afternoon she went as far as making this comment: I will never go into a nursing home, I will take a pistol and blow my freaking brains out. I told her to shut up, that is bad enough telling her kids that but to say it in front of her 5 year old granddaugther. Does anyone know if I can help her if she starts talking about killing herself???? Please be serious.

  • Can someone help me with this please?

A very close family member had her baby yesterday. She kept telling the doctor & nurse that she couldn't do it. This is what is bothering me. She had two doctors, one female & one male. I will refer to them as 'f' or 'm'. The 'f' doc was the one helping her at first. she kept on telling her to push and she was doing her best. The 'm' doc came in & checked her and he said that the baby was in 'ROA' Position & walked out of the room. when we asked the 'f' doctor what that meant she said well it means the baby's head is over to the right to much. I can buy that put I am not going to call it because I don't like to do c-sections. I want to know if anyone knows what 'ROA' stands for-I know the R stands for right. I have asked the nurses and they act like they don't know. someone please help me. the patient & her baby almost died last night from this

  • This is what Memorial Day means to me, what does it mean to you?

MEMORIAL DAY IS A TIME FOR US TO HONOR ALL THE FALLEN SOLDIERS, MEN & WOMEN ALIKE. TO ME A FALLEN SOLDIER IS NOT ONLY THE ONES THAT DIED WHILE FIGHTING BUT THOSE THAT WERE INJURED WHILE FIGHTING FOR OUR COUNTRY.

INJURED SOLDIERS STILL HAVE TO GO HOME TO START LIVING A NEW LIFE WITH THEIR FAMILIES, DEAL WITH ALL THE FLASHBACKS FROM FIGHTING IN THE WAR. DO YOU EVER WONDER IF THE INJURED SOLDIERS WOULD HAVE WISHED THEY HAD PASSED ON IN THE WAR?

MY FATHER, LT. JOHNNY ED WILLIAMS, A PROUD MARINE. FOUGHT IN THE VIETNAM WAR. MY FATHER, DIDN'T TALK ALOT ABOUT WHAT HE SAW THERE BUT THERE WERE TIMES WHEN A FIRECRACKER WOULD GO OFF & HE WOULD HIT THE FLOOR. SCREAMING FOR AMMONITION SO HE COULD PROTECT HIS COMRADES. MY STEP-MOM TOLD ME THAT ONE NIGHT, SHE HEARD A VERY LIGHT FOOTSTEP, SHE FELT FOR MY DAD, BUT HE WASN'T IN BED, HE WAS AT THE END OF THE BED WITH A 12GUAGE SHOT GUN READY TO BLOW HIS WIFES HEAD OFF BECAUSE HE THOUGHT SHE WAS ENEMY.

MY FATHER'S STORY IS JUST ONE OF MANY OF THE SOLDIERS THAT ARE STILL LIVING AFTER BATTLING IN A WAR FOR OUR COUNTRY SO WE CAN HAVE A BETTER LIFE.

MEMORIAL DAY IS ALSO THE DAY TO HONOR THE SOLDIERS WHO ARE BATTTLING NOW FOR OUR COUNTRY. THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN SEPARATED FROM THEIR FAMILIES FOR MONTHS MAYBE YEARS.

THEY MAKE THIS SACRIFICE NOT ONLY FOR OUR COUNTRY BUT FOR OUR A BETTER LIFE FOR ALL AMERICANS.

PLEASE HONOR OUR SOLDIERS ON MEMORIAL DAY.

  • Can someone help me with a S.C.A.N. problem? Truly Serious Answers PLEASE!?

I am going to try to make this short & simple as much as I can and if anyone needs more information then I can give it ok. I made an online friend. she lives in S.C., moved to FL. Told me that her homegirl got put in prison so she got custody of her 6 kids: triplets, twins & one single. She had moved in with a white man. Next thing I know she has moved back to S.C. & told me that her homegirl got moved to a prison in S.C.. My concern is for theses children because one day she had posted that the youngest 3 were missing so I contacted her the next day and she said oh that was just a hoax, they weren't missing, I was bored so I did that., but it did get me money from a person on the internet to help me find them. now she wants to move to New York. I asked about the children & she says that she has changed their names, now this is without the parents knowledge. I think that she may have kidnapped these children, why would she change their names, it has only been a couple of weeks?

  • Can anyone help? MRI LUMBAR SPINE?

    MRI LUMBAR SPINE

HISTORY: Back pain with left lower extremity radicular symptoms

    COMPARISON STUDIES: None available

TECHNIQUE: Multiplanar sequences with T1, intermediate, T2, and/or T2*-weighted image contrast.

    FINDINGS:

Generall: Lumbar alignment is normal. No evidence for fracture or neoplasm. Transitional lumbosacral anatomy with a rudimentary disc at the S1-2 level.

    L1-2, L2-3, L3-4, L4-5: No significant abnormality.

L5-S1: Disc degeneration with loss of disc height and T2 signal intensity. A small right paracentral disc protrusion abuts the right S1 nerve root. A small hyperintense zone lies with in the posterior annulus fibrosis. Mild bilateral facet arthrosis without canal or foraminal stenosis.

Conus and intraspinal: The conus is normal in position and appearance. No intraspinal lesions.

    IMPRESSION:

    1. Small right paracentral disc protrusion at L5-S1 with small associated radial tear of the posterior annulus fibrosis. This abuts and slightly displaces the right S1 nerve root.

    2. Transistional anatomy with a rudimentary disc at the S1-S2 level.

REASON FOR STUDY: ^Eval. for HNP. on 11/14/06 pt. injured his low back @wk. lifting heavy boxes, pain in low back radiating down lt. leg w/numbness in feet N/A

Would someone please explain the upbove information to me? At least make it easier to understand and as far as the pain & numbness goes would it radiate down the left leg or the right leg since it 'displaces the right S1 nerve root'?

Patient states that he informed the doctor it was his right leg but doctor noted left leg on MRI report. Would this change the whole outcome of the Findings/Impression?

  • How do I accept what is happening??

I was diagnosed with Pulmonary Sarcoidosis in 2005. It is hard but I have been dealing with it but it still stresses me out totally. I am 34 & have been on oxygen for 2 years now.

Over the past couple of weeks, my sides started hurting really bad, I actually felt like I was having a heartattack Thursday morning. I went to see my doctor and asked if he would xray my lungs since it had been awhile. (I was really dreading the outcome!)! He informed me that the Sarcoidosis has spreaded to the outer edges of my lungs. It was bad enough that it covered the parts of my lungs around my espagus, which causes the trouble breathing & pain. The pain gets so bad that I have to vomit. (sorry). I take plenty of medicine but it doesn't really help when I am having a bad flare up.

So how am I supposed to accept that this is getting worse. There is no cure for this disease. I also have Pulmonary Hypertention, which I was told only a lung transplant would fix. Can anyone give me some advice???
