Problems of religious conflict

Solution? The mass secularisation of the world, starting with the West. Its like hcildren with toys, if we cant play nicely together and share, then we dont get our toys. If we cant live with each others religions, then they should be taken away.

Problems of Poverty

Solution? Make trading laws fair, drop all subsidies in America and Europe. Cancel the world debt and let countries regain a foothold in a truely compepetive market. Liquidate the WTO, TRIPS and IBRD

Problems of Warfare

Solution? Fetter the arms companies, reel them in with strict laws and legislation or close them. No worming out, no loopholes, fairness or take-over.

Problems of Health

Solution? Make drugs free to all, split the biggest companies, such as Pfizer and Glaxo, into smaller, fairer units. Free research sharing, free information trade.

.Enforcement of the UN laws and Geneva conventions, elimination of Oil corporations, Nationalisation of essential services and pooling of common needs. Its time to start working together or we're never going to make it out of the 21st century.

Well, when you submit a question, you choose a doosy. The sad fact is you can't solve the problems of today. Only time can and even then, they'll only be replaced by new problems. Life, I'm afraid is NOT that simple.

Because of religion, most people believe in absolutes, more specifically: Absolute right and Absolute wrong. Truthfully, however, there is only one absolute, death. As Shakespear's Rosencrantz put it, "Why, nothing's either right or wrong but thinking makes it so." For example, whereas a behavior/ practice might be acceptable, or even required in one culture, the same could be viewed as heinous in another. This is the underlying problem of tolerance between foreign peoples--finding a way in order to view, circumstantially, what in your own belief, religion, or culture is WRONG as acceptable or even moral for another people. All determined from how/ what you have been taught to think from the time you took your first breath. For a minor example, in American culture, it is rude to burp at the table. In Japan, it is a compliment to the chef. Another example could be to consider the funeral rights of the Tibetan's. They hack up their dead and feed them to vultures. This practice would land you in prison in the states and brand you with a stigma of being a psychotic monster in the public's eyes. But, it is normal to the Tibetans. It isn't gruesome and other Tibetans would most likely shun and disapprove of another Tibetan that denied his family member these rights.

As time passes, and cultures intermingle, if a single world culture and society develops, perhaps the problems that we know today between peoples will work themselves out--at least on a global scale. However, the world will never be without problems or strife of some kind. If all problems could be solved, we'd call this place Heaven. And, this is WHY mankind believes in Gods and Heavens. Because, in life there are problems we can't solve, questions we can't answer, wrongs we can't right, and things that can't be fixed. In our devastation and despair, we NEED to believe that somewhere somehow, there is someone some being that can do anything and everything-that can fix the unfixable, right the unrightable, solve the unsolvable. This delusion, this "Impossible Dream," brought about by an insanity born delusion, brings us solace. Thus, at least in my belief, did MAN make God in HIS image.
