I only subscribe to the ones that offer me a free gift and a year's subscription for an insanely cheap price, like $12. Glamour, Jane, Allure, Vouge, and Cosmo (onlye because I could be entered to win an iPod, wich I didn't win, but I got one for graduation, so it's all good and the price of the subscription was right). Thus far I have two nice totes and a hand bag and another tote on the way! All for $11 to $15 per year. I also subscribe to Soap Opera Digest because it's close to impossible to watch eight soap operas every day. I got Smithsonian because I could have won a digital camera (I didn't, and I didn't get one of those for graduation).

I really like to read, and I got a couple of subscriptions to these magazines for free when I subscribed to another one. And I like the recipes that some of them have.
I used to get
Redbook
Family Circle
Prevention
I let those run out though.

because it comes out every week,
there are a lot more articles and wrting in it, than a lot of other magazines that only have advertising on like all the pages, and it keeps you up to date on all of the hollywood drama

Smithsonian, because it has an eclectic mix of history, current events and some tongue-in-cheek humor every now and then!
Real Simple, because I love the covers and it has interesting articles without being too "wife and mother"-y.
