Yahoo not listed in Internet Explorer's e-mail program list for choosing e-mail as default how can I list?

Yahoo e-mail is not listed in the Internet Explorer's e-mail program's list in the "Tools-Internet Options-Programs" area. This is where I should be able to choose Yahoo e-mail as my default e-mail. I recently had to take my computer to a computer diagnostic-repair shop to get rid of an infestation of viruses. The !@##$%! man ugraded my operating system from Windows 2000 to Windows XP and since that time hotmail, Opera Outlook Express and other e-mail programs are the only choices listed, and I am very annoyed as I only use Yahoo e-mail. How can I get Yahoo e-mail listed in the options box so that I can then choose it as my default e-mail program? I've been trying for several days to get the answer from the Yahoo technical support people but they have not a clue as to how to do this. If anyone knows how to do this, Please Help!!!! Thanks in advance!

    You can make Yahoo Mail your default e-mail client by downloading a small file (147 KB) from this link:

    http://download.yahoo.com/dl/installs/yinst.cab

    If you are unable to find Yahoo! Mail in the drop down list under program tab of internet options follow the instructions given below to make it your default e-mail application:

    Go to http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/ext/e...

    Check to make sure your system meets the requirements listed.

    Click on "Continue." The program will automatically install on your hard drive and set Yahoo! Mail as your default email application.
