Do people honestly believe...?

Well your basing this question on a verse in the bible. Genesis 6:1-21And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. It is constantly interpreted incorrectly. I used to think that interpretation was correct. I heard a teaching from a radio preacher and I was blown away. No thats not what the scripture means. Correct interpretation is that Godly men started marrying women who were not godly. You have to read the 1st verse carefully. It says that when men began to mulitply they started having daughters. And then it says in the KJV that the men saw these women and took them as wives. You have to read the law to understand where this one is coming from. Intermarriage between those of different faiths was not allowed. See 1 Corinthians 7 on this as well.

Well, this is not actually written about in the bible.

There are people who believe that the sons of GOD, mentioned in the story you are referring to , came to earth and found the women fair.

They theorize, that the demons (sons of GOD) actually posessed a mans earthly body and that is how they impregnated the women, and that is how the "giants" came to inhabit the promised land.

I state this as theory, because I find no other bible writings to confirm this. THe bible does state that angels have no sexual organs, therefore fallen angels would not have them either.

Just who are the sons of GOD, who attended meetings with GOD and satan was also there (as in the story of JOB)
