Are there any "Reagan Democrats" left?

Reagan was given credit for swinging a lot of voters to the other side. Many of those same voters voted for Clinton. They seemed to be divided in 2000 and 2004.

I saw an email on tv (from a viewer) from a Reagan Democrat who said he doesn't expect to vote for a Republican for a long time.

How do you think these vital swing voters will vote in 2006 and 2008?

I am a Reagan Democrat and am just waiting for someone to take his place. He was what this country needed at the time.

Unless the Republicans can do away with the Religious Right, I will continue to vote Democratic.

McCaine shocked alot of conservatives by his stance on immigration... and Hillary Clinton seems to be trying to change how people percieve her from ultra-liberal to moderate... It seems like both sides are giving up on what each party stands for and is trying to appeal to the middle ground (because they "know" that the die hard conservatives or liberals will vote one way no matter what... I think it will come down to who has the best media campaign unless the country REALLY starts looking at records and issues for themselves instead of relying on one side to rat out the other. Unless one party's media campaign blows away the other's, or a realistic 3rd party canidate siphons votes, I think the moderate vote will still be split.

Good question but in my State we are gonna see a ton of Democrats voting for Republican Dick DeVos for Governor.

Heck someone who swears they hate Bush says they are voting for DeVos due to not liking Democrat Governor Granholm.

God I hope not, you would think that they would have learned from their mistakes.
