What do you think of this one?

So, I have low amniotic fluid and am due in 4 weeks. The two docs I go to are concerned but trying to keep the baby in as long as possible to grow. They want me to be getting 1 ultrasound a week 2 non stress tests and 1 visit. This way the baby gets monitored a lot for movement and well being.

I went in for my ultrasound yesterday and the tech at the hospital comes out after two hours of waiting. He tells me that he called my docs and suggested that I didn't need the ultrasound until Thursday and they agreed, so I was to go home. I started regular contractions and ended up on the phone with my doc last night. Come to find out he never talked to the tech and had no idea I hadn't been seen yesterday.

The tech lied to me. I am so upset, I keep thinking, where does this guy get the right to play doctor with my babys health? I go see my doc tomorrow, what would you say to him? I want to tell him, okay, this is crazy, but I don't want to be hormonal. Suggestions?

You absolutely need to tell your doctor, and call the place where this idiot works and report him. How dare him. Have your husband or mother do it, you don't need any stress. But do tell the doctor. That guy makes me sick !! Good luck, hope the baby and you are both healthy.

Make a formal complaint to the hospital. The tech can be identified fairly easily. Registration should have proof that you were definitely there. You have every right to receive medical attention you need. Don't worry about sounding crazy to your doctor! I would tell your doctor what happen and tell him you are filing a complaint with the hospital (who more than likely employs him). The hospital will be very quick to react if they feel threatened with legal issues.

The doctor needs to know what the tech said. Otherwise he can't do anything about it. Sometimes it is right to say something and it isn't being hormonal. Probably hormonal means overly emotional, but giving needed facts to the doctor might be in yours and your baby's best interest...

File that complaint. This may not be the first or last time he does this otherwise. Who is he to play doctor?

I would find out the techs name, and report him to the hospital. The tech is just a monkey, and he is not to tell you that its not required. It would be the hospital Dr that would be talking to your Dr anyways.

Let him know that that type of behavior is unacceptable and you wish to file a complaint!!!
