Atlantis...............................?

Most likely reality...

think about this...right now, we are experiencing global warming, which is leading to a melting of the ice caps and the rise of the worlds ocean levels. We are losing land as the water invades.

Now, lets go back 10,000 years for a moment. People were likely not as advanced as we are today - so most societies most likely sprung up along the water's edge, both for commerce and exploation, as well as for a source of food. So, it is likely that any signs of ancient civilization are near the edge of the water... Now, if Atlantis existed, and it existed at the height of the last Ice Age, this would mean that much of the water on earth's surface would be caught up in glaciers and ice caps. In turn, this would mean that the average ocean level was about 100+ feet lower than what it is today. So, if there is any evidence of ancient civilizations, I believe that they will be found in deep oceans or possibly under Antarctica. And there is a theory on this as well...

In the 1960, Charles Hapgood wrote a book on Earth Crustal Displacement, a theory saying that the entire surface of the earth could possibly be moved due to the imbalance of the shape of the ice caps combined with the spinning action of the earth. Even Einstein read his theories and said that they were the best he had ever read for explaining why we would find orage trees buried in the Siberia tundra, or herds of mamoths frozen to death while standing in one spot eating - the animals were frozen so quickly that, in Fairbanks, Alaska in the 1970s, you could order a mamoth steak - that was 10000 years old!!!!!

So, we look at a globe. Siberia is currently located near the Arctic Circle. Yet it used to reside in a tropical area, due to the findings of oranges and elephants.... Lo and behold, if you rotate the earth so that Siberia is located at the equator, then Antactica becomes centered over the equator also. Where would ancient life/civilization most likely have sprung up? In a temperate area near the equator, close to the water's edge.....
