NEVER use oil as some others have suggested as it prevents the skin from breathing and therefore healing. Get the most plain and natural aloe gel you can find and lay it on thick. Find one with lidocaine HCL as it will numb the pain. Make sure you are not using the after sun lotion as it will contain oils that will only negate the benefits of the aloe and slow the healing process. Also a cool (not cold) damp rag will help ease the pain as well.

Ohhhhhhh!!! I had a sunburn that put me in the hospital this year. No messin around! Solarcane sunburn spray with aloe works great. I am allergic to all the burn creams from the Dr. because they are sulpha base, and the solarcane did help a lot. Vinegar does help take the sting out. Soak a couple of towels and lay them across the burn. Watch for blisters and swelling.

You need to use aloe straight from the plant. Go to any
grocery store and purchase a leaf. Cut it up and bandage it on
her , if its her ENTIRE body, well you are going to be buying
alot of aloe. If you have a bit of money there is a product
called Emprizone by Mannatech, it works like a charm for me!

Well, if aloe vera isnt working then try this concoction my wife used on me once. She used honey, about 3/4 cup. 1/2 cup sugar. and any alcohol, try to keep consistency thick. Mix all together, get basting brush or use finger an apply.

Let her soke in hot water(as hot as she can stand it) thatll sort of i guess suck the sunburn out of her not all of it though so after she gets out put aloe vera back on and when that soaks in put some lotion on her.
Source(s): Hope she feels better sun burn does suck. - 4 years ago
