That all depends on what you want to get. I buy Dell's, However, I buy from the outlet. They are refurbished, however Dell's refurbished systems are practically new. When a customer refuses shipment on a system, or they cancel it before it ships out, it goes to the refurbished(outlet) department.

You can get great deals. I actually just picked up a 2.8ghz 512mb ram, DVD burner, for $285 Not bad at all.

You say that you have a Dell right now? Well if you like it and it has been a trouble free PC for you then another Dell would be a good choice as it is hard to beat their prices.I just recently bought my second Dell while they were having their 22nd anniversary savings sale and was able to upgrade quite a bit for the same price when you threw in the 22% off. I know a lot of people will have different opinions but for me anyway Dell has been very good. Never had a problem of any kind.

Dells are good but they are going to be a little more expensive than some other brands because they do alot of advertising. u might want to look into an emachine or a somthing similar cuz they do little advertising therefore they cost less, they are reliable, and u get your moneys worth.

It really depends on what your needs are. Something to check email and internet, play music, develop videos, play intensive 3D games?
