Klinsmann to replace Arena?
In light of Team USA's poor showing in the World Cup, is this the next move for US Soccer? Should they replace Bruce Arena with Jurgen Klinsmann now that he is available?

Yes, the States has expressed interest in getting Klinsmann to replace Arena, but Klinsmann has said that he doesn't want to coach another national team. So he's not likely to take over unless they come up with a better offer.

It would be a great move for the US soccer team for sure - not that I'm against Arena but agree that he just didn't seem able to motivate the team. Plus its not like Klinsmann would be "leaving" Germany. He lives in California where his wife is from. However, I can sure understand why Germany would fight like the dickens to hold on to him.

klinsmann has said that he holds no interest in the job. i honestly hope he doesn't take the job. he was such a great coach for germany and should have stayed.

If we can get him we should. He will bring a lot of experience and knowledge plus a proven record. Not that Arena is bad but he can no longer motivate this team.

I believe that it would be a very smart move if that happened. Just my 2 cents worth.
